PHOTO SHOOT
Having NOT seen the point in blogging for a long time after coming across this latest blurb about our photo shoot from a while back I thought, “Hey why not wack this one up there while I think of more things to jabberjaw about “.
So here’s my little experience when we were all out there doing it.
It was nice and hot.

Not being the greatest talents on planning ahead, we had organized to take a trip to this amazing location called “Radio Kootwijk” our photographer had found for a photo session.
And so finally for once we were the lucky guys to be able to hang out on location looking “relaxed, cool and collected”. Unlike the previous session we’d done end of last year (freezing our nuts off trying to look cool) this was a much more relaxed experience physically anyway. Not that those pictures weren’t any good, on the contrary, some of the shots came out fantastic, but I for one, looked rather miserable snotty and frozen. With me, as it has always been, as soon as my knees get cold I get all grumpy and soon it’ll be GAME OVER !
So here we were “hot, bothered and sweaty” having friends and family being part of our entourage to witness and document this happy event.
After having parked the cars, including the campervan Rob our photographer had taken with him to take his gear and for us to use as a dressing room, come green room, we had to walk a fair bit to get to the place but once there it was an awesome sight to see.
Shorts, sandals, Bali pants, lemonade for the kids, beers for the big kids and a couple of sangers to keep the munchies under control and away we went. It was almost being back in Oz. I guess what was missing were the flies, bell birds wild cockatoos, bull ants and of course the matosause.
Just can’t have a picnic without this beautiful red.
All in all a beaut day for a photo shoot.
Rob Acket had brought his gear, we had brought ours and as he was setting up trying a few different angles and positions before getting into action. It being a place of interest there were a few people also checking out the scene so to speak and as we were playing our tunes there soon was a little crowd gathering and listening in. I guess judging by the applause we got these people taking pictures of this building didn’t mind too much about a little bit of background music while roaming about.
So it was fun, it was hot, we got thirsty, and we got a good result, thanks to Rob and his talent for taking good shots of a couple of guys just having fun.
But apart from great photos we also walked away with the idea that it might not be such a bad idea to start working on an unplugged demo keeping it acoustic and unplugged so to speak, seeing that playing outside in the sun with our acoustic set up did work really well.
So who knows we might even get the next album on our way just with our socks of. Robs idea.
